the Bluebird of Happiness
With their bright blue feathers and sometimes fiery red chests, bluebirds can be considered one of the most beautiful birds in nature. But one may find that the symbolism behind the bluebird may be it’s most attractive quality. The tale of the bluebird centers around two young heroes, Tyltyl and Mytyl. The two are sent off to many different lands in search of the bluebird of happiness by the fairy Berylune. When they return home discouraged and without the bluebird of happiness they find that the bird has been caged in their home the entire time. When a neighbor falls ill, Myltyl gives her the bird as a present and it flies away. Ultimately teaching the children that the search for happiness is ongoing, and that happiness can be found within oneself. In Russian versions of the fairytale, bluebirds are considered a traditional symbol of hope. So the next time you are out bird watching and you spot a proud little blue bird singing happily remember to never stop following your bliss.

Hear It From A Guest:
"So we are in our room at the Bluebird Inn in Cambria. My wife is sitting on the patio overlooking the garden and reading her book. I'm sitting inside listening to Enya on our CD player. This afternoon we walked about 2 miles on Moonstone Beach. I don't think I can get any more relaxed or any more happier. Ahhhhhhhhh."

After dedicating a Redwood tree to him, a commerative boulder engraved with his name was placed below as a reminder. The Shaug's came together to stay at the Bluebird and have been using this weekend as a celebration of family.
